Typical Activities and Events
A-OK activities and events may be educational, recreational or just plain social. Examples from the past include:
- park days
- a younger kids' gathering
- swimming and sprinkler park days
- a craft-making fair
- geometry days
- geography days
- a Shakespeare class
- a Spanish class
- a peewee soccer class
- a Lego group
- a cheese and soap-making event
- myriad field trips (nature walks, maple-sugaring, bird-watching, beach conservation, biodiesel fuel, etc.)
- classes and lectures at nearby science and technology institutions
- a regular farm gathering
- Halloween/Day of the Dead parties
- Valentine's Day parties
- barn dances
- a harvest potluck
- a solstice potluck
- monthly ladies' nights
In addition, there are smaller gatherings that happen off-list, for example, a kindergarten coop or a weekly hang-out time for teenage girls.
